During this New Year’s season, I realize many people are making resolutions to make 2011 be ‘the year of weight loss’. I applaud you if that is your goal, your New Year’s resolution.

I truly want to do all I can to help you reach that goal!

One of the things that I have found to be particularly effective in the people I have successfully coached to lose weight is this: Honest assessment of WHY they are overweight in the first place. Time and again, people skip this step — and jump right into the ‘tactical steps’ of what exactly to eat, and when, etc.

However, this is a SERIOUS MISTAKE. Addressing the specific REASON WHY you are in this situation is very important. It can give you a hint as to the best way to find a solution. It can also open the door, in a way that has never been done before.
